SmartMap presents GIS wireless policy plan at 2014 Utah Geographic Information Council (UGIC) Annual Conference
The
UGIC board accepted Allred's SmartMap abstract for presentation
at their annual conference, hosted at Logan's
Riverwoods Conference Center,
April 6, 2014. Allred's research demonstrated how 3D topography
software is readily capable of visualizing wireless signal as a
tool for regulatory reform and telecom landuse controls. Our presentation
will explain how 3-D topography software (such as ESRI 3D Analyst)
is a readily available tool for assisting local regulatory agencies
in responding to impacts of world-wide burgeoning demand for wireless
